| Sangria Saturday |

On Saturday we went to REI to buy a raincoat. We took a bus and then walked about half a mile to get there. It was hot, so we each ended up buying shorts there and putting them on for the walk home. We needed them anyway, really.
We are getting used to doing grocery shopping whenever we find a grocery store near our current location, so we went to a Mexican Grocery store (Called Mercado del Pueblo), our bags were pretty full and we didn't find what we were looking for, so we just got bottled of exciting and different spanish labeled sodas. I couldn't decide and got both a coconut soda (great!) and a non-alcoholic sangria soda (unfortunately tastes like grape soda- not that I don't like grape soda, but my hopes were up)
Then, that night our friend Michelle (who has my birthday!) held a joint party for us. She had real Sangria. With fruit soaked in Brandy for days ahead of time. Hmmmm. I love the sangria.
Getting up the next morning to go sing in a performance was a little rough, but I am sure it was just because we had to get up extra early because of the time change... |
